Arsenal’s record signing Mesut Ozil, was in
sparkling form again, as Arsenal defeated
Napoli 2-0 at the Emirates. The German
scored his first goal for his new club, with a
controlled finish, before setting up Olivier
Giroud for his sixth goal of the campaign.
Robert Lewandowski sealed an emphatic
3-0 victory for Borussia Dortmund against
Marseille by scoring from the penalty spot.
The Gunners will have to be at their very
best in their upcoming double-header
against the Bundesliga leaders.
Ajax drew 1-1 against AC Milan, with Mario
Balotelli salvaging a point deep into injury
time with a penalty. Barcelona needed a
78th minute header from Cesc Fabregas to
break down Celtic in Scotland.
Chelsea whitewashed Steaua Bucharest 4-0,
with Ramires getting a brace while Julian
Draxler gave Schalke a 1-0 win away at FC
Arda Turan scored a late winner, as the La
Liga side won at FC Porto 2-1, putting them
firmly in charge of Group G.
